Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I really appreciate it. The results actually shocked me!

Several of you said or implied that you didn't like any of the names.

One thing we've decided is that we don't want to be named after our area because if and when we change buildings there's a good chance we will also switch towns or neighborhoods. (We're in Maryland where towns all run into each other and we're even on the county line.)

Other than being named after our geographical location, we would LOVE to hear some additional church name ideas. Although we narrowed it down to what we considered were the best three from our brainstorming session, we're still very open to other names.

So how 'bout it?

If I was down the road & saw those 3 names on a building, I would have NO idea what god you served. Nobody really does anything with Adonai's Name any more, it doesn't seem to be about Him anymore.

If you are starting a "church" shouldn't the pastor or person who was "called" to build a church already know the Name because Adonai told him? Instead of getting people together & "brainstorming" the name according to "their" ideas.

But I'll give you a name that will attract christains & Jews "House of the G-d of Y'srael" It will give you a chance to teach Christains their Jewish Roots & Faith. While teaching Jews who their Messiah is, Y'shua of Nazereth.
