I had another dream |
bonnie knox |
The night before last, I dreamed my pastor was trimming tree limbs by tossing a running chainsaw into the air. He was taking pictures of where the chainsaw landed to document that he wasn't doing property damage. I saw the chainsaw bounce off a car bumper before landing in the parking lot where it was when the pastor snapped a pic.
Any interpreters out there? |

Yep, you don't need to eat pizza after 4:00 PM. |

Well, Ole Timer, I don't think it was what I ate. I had bacon and eggs and toast and milk for supper Sunday night. Now I did have a few of those Hershey's miniatures that afternoon. Maybe it was the dark chocolate.
No, actually I think the dream was metaphorical. As in, I felt like my pastor was a bit reckless (but not in a physical sense) in some ways and not even really aware of it.
The other thing that prompted this was after I started praying for people I dream about, I noticed I had not dreamed about my pastor. So my subconscious corrected that.
I dreamed about Tom Sterbens last night. He was standing right beside my pastor in the back of our church. The setting was identical to the way the church looked last night in reality at the visitation for the family of the young woman in our church family who passed away. I shook his hand and said, "Hi Tom."
Later in my dream, I thought, "I should have introduced myself and introduced my husband because he didn't know who we were."
Ole Timer, I haven't dreamed about you yet. I'm wondering exactly what it might be like to dream about a parody. |

Its a good metaphor for something I've seen before (with good guys that just weren't cut out for the job). It seems like a disconnect between the problems (damage) in the church and the actions that are causing them. Narcissism is usually a big factor, they can't possibly be at fault for anything so they want to get others to "document" what they believe about themselves (I'm a good guy right? I don't deserve the criticism, etc..)... |

He was removing obstacles from your congregation from a safe distance and not harming his position.

He carefully planned and executed this task while positioning himself and that which is worthy as unscathed.

The deflection was the result of a person that tried to do damage to the innocent but was repulsed. Things returned to normal as the picture depicts. |
