Post I've lost my father Resident Skeptic
This is what I posted on Face Book today......

Quote:
It is with some surprise and much sadness that I must announce the passing of my father, Ted Holly (May 31, 1933-June 7, 2018). This morning I checked on him as he had not yet stirred, and it appeared he had peacefully departed this life in his sleep. He leaves behind a great legacy of being a Korean War veteran (USN), author, and having raised his kids to appreciate our cultural heritage, American exceptionalism, Southern pride, and the effects of Christianity on western civilization. I will be posting information on arrangements as soon as they are made. God bless all of you.

Sincere condolences! I lost my Dad in 2005. I miss him every day.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.

Post Resident...so sorry, friend. Aaron Scott
One never has enough time with their parents or their kids. He must have been a very special father indeed to have instilled those good things that are now within you. Hon. Dr. in Acts-celeratology

I really need prayer. The evil sibling is wasting no time, if you know what I mean.

Post Things we read during this time Isa 58:12
Is Ps 20, 23, 79, 91, 123. We also say the kaddish, which I said for ur father & my friends wife's father who seemed to pass away @ the same time. The theme of the kaddish is rather, the greatness of G-d who conducts the whole universe and especially His most favorite creature each of us with careful supervision

In this prayer, we also pray for the Peace from the only One who can guarantee it and Peace between nations Peace between people and Peace of mind

This is in fact the only true comfort in the case of the loss of a loved one, that is, to be able to view the passing of the Beloved person from the perspective that the person's soul was gathered in so to speak, by the One who provided it in the first place

You should find the kaddish on YouTube and listen to it, it is very beautiful

Shalom
