I repented this morning |
JLarry |
For the first time I realized that about 15 years ago I said something that I should not have said.
After 25 years of pastoring I resigned from the pastoral ministry. My bishop asked what I was going to do. I said: "I am going to get a REAL job and pray for pastors". He responded: "Dear God they need it".
As I was praying this morning I realized I need to repent for using the term; "Real Job".
Pastoring is without a doubt a "REAL Job". When I started pastoring my pastor said; "pastoring is not just a job, it is a calling". "Calling", no doubt, but is more than a "calling" it is a job. A tough job, one that requires tough skin. Not hard labor but mental labor.
I still love, respect and pray for pastors.
My main goal for 2016, other than drawing closer to the Lord is to get back into the pastoral ministry.
I yearn to pastor again. That is my gift, my calling and I miss it much more that I ever thought I would. _________________ Recorded Sermons @ www.pastorwiley.com

No doubt about it. Dealing with some people will definitely push you to your limits if you allow it. Just do what you can do and try to get better each day.
You will never be happy if you quit. Experience tells me of this. |

Ain't it the truth!
It is a calling but to many it is a profession. somehow there is a difference. I have said it here, Pastoring a church is the easiest job in the world, IF YOU DO NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY! _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!
