Wow! That is a surprising move. However, it is good for Alabama.

Post the facebook video of his resignation clevelandgrad
I feel sorry for the members of LifePointe. I watched the video and read the faces of the members, you could see they were saddened by what they heard.

I can't help but think about all the pushing Travis did to make changes in the Church of God and now I wonder if he "has arrived", been drawn into the politics of the COG and will eventually lose his drive to see change in the movement.

Will he become like the west coast? You know the COG is present but you don't hear much.

I hope not.

Yes. I'm sure that two well respected pastors who have both given most of their adult lives growing churches from almost nothing into significant congregations are motivated by money. Surely it has nothing to do with the will of God! Some posts just make you have to go... Rolling Eyes

What's with the negative on Travis here?? Come on guys...

Travis has proven himself to be one of the most authentic and effective leaders in your movement. He took LPC from a handful of people and (with God's help) made it what it is today --- a thriving church that reaches South Florida and the world.

He's shown himself to be ethical, transparent, and Godly in any dealings. Why blast him or question his motivations? Why bring up money?

You guys are just wrong... or jealous..

Get a life.

Travis is a good egg ! Having had years of ministry experience in Florida, I can honestly say that what God did through TJ in South Florida is nothing short of miraculous. I'm glad to see God blessing him and the people of Mobile are in for a real treat! No doubt, the people in Homestead are sad, but in time, they will be appreciative of the time they had with Travis and God will continue to lead them to a bright future. Let's pray for great things in both locales! Acts Enthusiast

Gotta say BB, good insight here. Travis is the real deal. WE only visited and met once, but was blessed and challenged by his FIRE and SPIRIT!

GOOD BB! Smile Smile

A typical negative statement from GeorgiaPath. This dude has some
deep resentment toward pastors from somewhere in the past. Sad.
I am going to be praying for him/her. Seriously.

It's sad BB, but this is what Actscelerate has dropped too in the past few months. I think some on here are going through a difficult time and it's hard for them to rejoice with a Brother.

I am very surprised. I figured Travis would stay at Lifepointe forever. But, I know his character well enough to know he did not make this choice with anything less than a pure intention to honor and serve God. He is so totally not interested in climbing the CoG ladder of success. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

I've only gotten to talk with Travis a few times in person. Most of our interactions have been online. But my brother has been faithful, and God has blessed him with more. He's a genuine Great Commission guy, and I'm thrilled for his ministry. I'll miss seeing him at campmeeting, but there is always GA2018.

It's always painful when a good pastor leaves, as it should be. That means he is loved. I'm excited for LPC, and for Pathway.

Blessings, Travis, my friend. I'm praying for you.

Mr. Sterbens:
My post was merely thinking out loud in this forum and to allow Mr. Johnson to know what folks are thinking. I appreciate the contributions Mr. Johnson has made to this great movement and I hope he does not allow the extra work of a new church to prevent or even slow down his input into making changes in this great movement.

In regards to your comment of "unmerited tripe" - I wonder if you might be referring to your incessant questioning of simple questions on the Excellent Pastor Facebook page? "Your post assumes a given definition of "anointing. Can you please expand on that...???", "For me, the original post blends terminology and metaphors into one big basket of definition that I've never been able to wrap my head around. But again - the problem maybe me." I could go on with the quotes but in case you didn't notice, Mr. Isaacs stopped responding.

Anyone who has been in the COG for any period of time knows what they mean when they are talking about anointing.
