| It's basically people that want to throw off restraint for a week before they head back to the office. I'd imagine that a lot of CA companies make sure there aren't any random drug tests for a few weeks afterward. |

It really is all about a temporary return to "hippie-dom," it seems. Freedom to love, do drugs, etc.
It has some wild excesses to it (nudity and probably a lot of other things), but from what I can gather, it is mostly just an adult carnival of sorts. |

You Are Welcome.
It's a 'gates of hell' kind of place. I believe Jesus would go there. I, on the other hand, would never fit in to that culture.
To call it a hippie-fest would be a gross understatement. It is a gathering around some pretty serious social commentary, communicated in art, music and message. It is a gathering around the soul's questions of life.

So the guy that started it is an atheist - yet it is spiritual.
I guess the only thing to gather is that "man" is God at this festival.
And whatever spiritual stuff you get from that is played out during the week.
Perhaps Jesus would attend. Sounds like he would have plenty to teach them. "Sermon on the burning man" would be a great lesson.
