Trump gloating on Twitter over the release of the Mueller report |
Dave Dorsey |
And quite honestly, he's got every right to do so.
I'm posting a little early, and might have egg on my face when the report is actually released, but based on Barr's press conference it sure doesn't seem like I will. Should be interesting today to see how the Democrats and the media process the public release of Mueller's findings. |

You can be SURE that the Democrats will try to make hay of it. If it said that Trump was absolutely NOT GUILTY, they would still find a way, probably by impugning Mueller.
At present, however, Mueller, the guy they pinned their hopes on, cannot be safely touched since to do so would be for Trump to say, "Well, why didn't you say so when he started?"
Or, better, "The only way ANY report could be acceptable in the sight of the Democrats was if it came back with a guilty "verdict," since the Democrats have already decided as much." |

Its nice to see your optimism Dave. You are as close to "neutral" on this topic as anyone I know so that is why you see the truth. Trust me, everyone to the left of you has already chosen to SEE what they want to see here and have their masters at CNN telling them what they want to hear that " Barr is a paid henchman", that "Muehler is the ultimate puppet", that "the ten instances of possible obstruction are, IN FACT, undeniable obstruction" (despite the fact that Muehler exhonerates Trump by stating that he was not impeded in doing his job. They have nothing, but that has never stopped them for 2 years. They colluded with a foreign national (Mr. Steele), paid him for his phony docier, spied on Americans, spied on a candidate for POTUS, etc.., etc.., etc.. and STILL they will push their narrative because in the end, they learned everything from Clinton and Obama, keep telling your lies long enough and they will eventually tell themselves. |

I am hearing from a conservative talk show host that Trump isn’t gonna be happy with the report. We shall see. |

Having had some time to process it, there are definitely plenty of things that reflect poorly on him. He seems -- to no surprise -- to be an impulsive, thoughtless person whose first inclination when in trouble is to attempt to escape it by any means necessary. That said, he also seems to be a person who is surrounded by people smart enough to either talk him off those cliffs or directly defy him and fail to follow through with what he has asked. I am also sure he is far from the only president whose natural inclination is oriented in that way.
That said -- he's happy, and he's gonna stay happy. He's been briefed on what he's going to be briefed on (absolutely zero collusion, and some questionable actions but nothing that could be sustained in a prosecution) and that's all he's ever going to process from this report. |

I am waiting to see the entrails of the report. I think it will be so worded that both sides can spin it to their advantage. I guess some of you have heard that there are 6000 sealed indictments that will jail Hillary and former President Obama. I am sure they are in there. I hear that on Monday mornings at Hardees from some senior citizens.
That my friends will set the Democrats back years. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

True, he's done some strange things and even many things that I don't like or agree with. But only in the la-la-land created by the TDS patients does any of it rise to "collusion/treason/obstruction/etc..." For them we see that even the clear sentences in the report that state flat-out that there was no collusion, aren't even enough. |

Yeah, it is actually embarrassing to see the few holdouts still pushing the collusion narrative. I understand the partisans who pivoted to obstruction, even though I don't think the narrative supports that either. But the people still pushing collusion are truly something else. |

I look for cries of "obstruction" to last about two weeks. But nothing will stop the avalanche that is about to bury the Democrats, possibly sending them the way of the Whigs. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

People on the far left are saying the same thing about Trump and the GOP.
Neither of these 2 outcomes are going to occur. |

That's funny. Yeah he takes his counterpunching too seriously. I don't think he ever learned the "let sleeping dogs lie" axiom. |

His tirade about the Meuller investigation having illegal roots is about to be vindicated. Stand by. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

Well, there is nothing on which to base such a claim by the Dems. However, there has been for sometime volumes of information that points to the Dems being hung on their own gallows. The dominos are beginning to fall, even as I write this. The Clintons and Obamas will not escape. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI

This is exactly what the Dems have been saying for 2 years. "There is nothing on which to base a claim by Trump and the GOP. However, the dominos for the GOP are beginning to fall, even as we write this."
You are falling into the same delusion that has ensnared the far left for the last 2 years. Some of them still believe it's just a matter of time until collusion is proven and Trump is charged. Absolutely nothing is going to happen to the Clintons or the Obamas. |

RS, let me ask you this.
What evidence would you need to see to conclude that your current belief about this is false?
What would need to happen (or not happen) in order for you to change your view?
I will answer the question for me: if the Clintons or Obamas become the targets of a federal investigation, I will conclude that my view about this was potentially not correct. If they are indicted and/or convicted, I will conclude that my view was definitely not correct.
How about you? |

The Clintons and Obamas are already under investigation for their part in using illegal means to railroad Trump. The clock is ticking.
Obama: "The first I knew of this was from watching the news"

Okay, here I am 'Me TOO'. I cannot see it happening.

You did not answer my question. What would need to happen, or not happen, for you to change your mind about this? What would need to occur (or not occur) for you to say, "Huh, I guess that's not the case after all".
Because if you hold a position that is not potentially falsifiable, you don't have a reasoned/logical opinion, you have a religious belief.
If your view here is based on facts, you should be able to identify how it could be falsified. For example, the Clintons/Obamas do not get indicted, or the genesis of the Mueller investigation is never pursued, etc.
So do you have a logical position here that's based on the facts as you currently know them, or do you have a religious belief? |

I'll give you another example. I know you have expressed in the past that you think QAnon is ridiculous.
I have to agree. My opinion of QAnon is that it is total unhinged lunacy. I believe the people who have dedicated themselves to believing QAnon have basically become members of a cult who are doing serious and literal damage to their own minds and their ability to correctly process information. I believe it is absurd to the point of mockery that anyone would believe any of Q's obviously ridiculous lies.
With that said, while my opinion is extremely strong, it is falsifiable. If people start getting indicted and sent to Gitmo for military tribunals, I will be able to accept and acknowledge that I was incorrect. This is because my view about QAnon is, as best as I am capable, a logical assessment of the facts as I know them. If those facts change, my view will change as well.
This is NOT the case for QAnon adherents. Q said that Hillary was arrested in (IIRC) February of last year. You would think that claim would be easily falsifiable: if Hillary shows up somewhere after February, then it wasn't true. However, Q's claims are not falsifiable in the minds of QAnon believers, because QAnon is not a reasoned view, it's a religious faith. QAnon believers concluded, upon seeing Hillary out and about after this, that they were seeing a body double because Q followers cannot concede any possibility that Q was wrong.
In my opinion, the theory that you have is a just a couple of steps shy of QAnon. It is ridiculous, groundless, and obviously false. That's just my opinion though, and I could be completely wrong. There are a lot of things that could happen that could demonstrate to me that I am wrong.
What could happen to demonstrate to you that you are wrong? |
