 Paula White "Sugar" Cain, surgery and better angels |

First of all, I wouldn't have recognized her as the same person who was once a lovely woman but now looks like a $5 carnival painted caricature example of the dangers of plastic and botox. But did anyone else feel embarrassment for evangelical America when she prayed for Trump to listen to his "better angels"? I mean what a testament to her theology that was. 
I enjoyed 99% of the day's festivities, but that one moment was a fly in the ointment. Barely worth mentioning I know, but nonetheless it bugged me. |

| Yep, I too picked up on the “better angels” comment. Thankfully, Franklin Graham was there to state the truth, an ole Sam Rodriguez prayed good too. |

I believe she is in her last "new season" so I hope this one lasts.
She should have skipped this last personal appearance., and let us remember her former self. |

"Better angels of our nature" is a phrase that Lincoln used in his Inaugural address. It is a phrase that was used in Shakespeare. I'm taking it to be a metaphorical phrase.
I don't find it offensive. (Should I?) |

Well I didn't claim she coined the phrase, we've all heard it. Its usually used as an appeal to the "good" in human nature which is at best misguided but leans more to humanism. I'm not sure you should be offended, but I'm saying that I am troubled. The fact that a so-called minister of the Gospel used it in a prayer to God Almighty is a theological absurdity and borders on offering strange-fire (in that we can look to some angel or self for guidance in a prayer to God) which is something she and her fellow prosperity-doctrine crowd have been accused of before. |

Not only has her ilk been accused of it, they guilty of it. |

Some people are simply never going to be able to move on about Paula White.
They didn't care for her when she was with Randy White.
When she divorced Randy White.
Or anything else afterwards.
I did note that she at least prayed in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
She apparently somehow found a way to minister to Donald Trump for 15 years. If you won't judge her by him, we won't judge you by your worst members either. |

I am always a positive person I look for the best in everyone. (However if I personally don't like 'em, sometimes I ain't.)
Thank goodness I know very little about Paula White or most TV and popular preachers. So I can say, I hope her prayer was heard and this administration does well. If it weren't a positive thing, I hope the administration does well inspite of it.
