Sorry I guess this is hi-jacking.
So to the OP, This practice of appointments has been going on for years. The thought of a pastor leaving a church he has poured his life into and helped it grow, leaves it to be an administrator for a few years does deserve consideration of appointment back to a church the size he left.
I like it much better than remaining in ADMIN for ever like a professional politician. Yes at times it has been the old boys network, at work. That is impossible to avoid, IT SEEMS.

Jeff and Carla Robinson, AB of Indiana, voted in unanimously at Plant City, FL yesterday by the council, elders and congregation. Robert and Lisa Herrin retiring on January 15 after 18 years and a productive ministry. Nothing close to the errors and distorted information that started this thread. NO appointment to this church by the AB of FL. End of story. Selah!

That is not the church nice try with the disinformation. Maybe try a little further west on the interstate possibly 20 miles away on a river. i would never make assumptions like that with a man of God like Robert Herrin.
that was a Smoke screen post someone is scrambling to cover.... why not spill the beans

It maybe a financial and legal mess all we know is they don't need another Labelle situation to happen enough went with that and it hurt a lot of folks. We need to face the fact that local decisions and pastoral mistakes can affect the whole state and national organization. Maybe or maybe not this person is retiring and does not care at all about what happens because of their anger at the "COG" for feeling they did themwrong with a position. Maybe or maybe not this person is a former official and is operating with a denominational law does not apply to me attitude.and if maybe there is black mail or undue favors involved because of the persons history or previous positions it should be dealt with who knows.... Only God. all i maybe know is if the faces were changed things would be happening. |
i maybe know of a church of God in labelle maybe google it there maybe a similar story maybe a name like Jason rings a bell only maybe a janitor knows

I do not have a clue about what is going on here. I am done with posting on this thread. Wish I had done like I do with the rest of the material on Actscelerate.....read it, stayed out of it and moved on. Will from now on.
