COGOP Cancels International Assembly

Today it was announced that the Church of God of Prophecy is canceling its 2020 International Assembly which was scheduled for this coming July in the Orlando. The next assembly will be in the year 2022, in a location to be announced.

Also, Bishop Sam Clements, General Overseer of the Church of God of Prophecy, will not retire as was announced in 2019, but will continue in office until the 2022 International Assembly.

Probably a good thing. I am sure much goes into the planning of a GA. And the future with the virus is shaky!

I certainly hope this virus has "Showed" out enough by the July time frame. Cool

International Travelers

The concern has to be about the members and ministers who travel from other countries around the globe. They may be other "hot spots" outside this country and limitations on who can come into the country. It would be a terrible thing to gather in Orlando and rekindle the virus, as the people who want to visit the mouse at Disney (plus the other attractions in Orlando) would be very unhappy that the "happiest place on earth" had to be closed again.
