10 Families Lose Their Homes to Typhoon Odette (Pics)

I shared in the post "The House of the Lord Is in Shambles" that 10 families who attend this church have lost their homes. These families range in size from 4 to 7 people per family. Below are the pictures of their homes and what remains of their belongings.

I have asked the local pastor to share with me how much it will cost for these homes to be replaced and to help these 10 families with food and water while they try to recover. The pastor has shared with me the cost to build a temporary 10' x 10' structure that will allow a family to leave the evacuation center and return to their private lot. From there, they can begin to rebuild a permanent structure, reusing some of the materials from their temporary hut.

Cost of 10' x 10' hut (posts, Galvanized iron roof, walls, flooring, and labor costs for two skilled carpenter to work 4 days): $910 per family

Average cost of food and drinking water per family for one week: $42.50 per family
