 Benny Hinn prophesied Fidel Castro's death--he was right except for the date |

Castro is dead at age 90. Maybe Hinn mistook the word 90 for the 90's (as in 1990's).

Ole Timer, I don't think I would be willing to commit to saying that ANY of it was from the Lord. I'm more inclined to think it was "of the flesh," as we Pentecostals like to say.

Was he 'bent over behind bars?' I heard the recording and recall him saying that. I suppose if we are going to be 'lenient' about it we could reinterpret that to mean the bars of a hospital bed, if he'd died bent over. Was he in one?
If the Fidel date were wrong, would that mean the homosexual community of America will be destroyed 'by fire' when it gets to be in it's mid-90's. What would that be, another 60 years or so?
For some reason, this reminds me of Bill Clinton saying it depends upon what the meaning of 'is' is.

I have never heard Benny Hinn speak. I have only seen clips of his services. But any prophesy should be accurate, IMHO, other wise it was a guess.
I get very confused at things that "God says WILL happen." Then they don't. I am a firm believer if God said it, it will BE!

And herein lies the problem, Cojak. So many Pentecostal/Charismatics are gullible to the 10th power. If they like a person's ministry they will let failed prophecies slide without demanding accountability. Then, those of us who consistently call for biblical integrity and prophetic discernment are painted with the brush of "doubter, cynic, cessationist, etc." and an attempt is made to shame them into silence. Not so with OTCP. The greater the attempt to shame into silence, the greater is OTCP clarion call for accountability. |
