I stand corrected. Seems they tried more than once or twice. The majority of these just didn't get the press or stand out like a particular one or two of the attempts did.

Its because its boring, Republican voters were too busy watching Celebrity Apprentice.

I'll have you know I don't think I've ever seen a complete show of The Apprentice. Smile

Anyway, in the above list, it looks like Republicans could get no bills passed. They've only blocked a few of Obama's bills and held out on others before giving in. If they don't give in, the political fallout is too much for some or them. If they compromise they are derided. But getting Obama to compromise is largely unsuccessful. So little gets done on the Republican agenda - except blocking some bills.

Yep, people complain about "gridlock" but that's why I can still go buy an American rifle today. Smile

They could have filibustered and stopped Obama at every turn - but didn't.
They could have restrained spending - but didn't.
They owed it to us to try.

They talk a good game (Marco Rubio from my state) - but get to Washington and do the opposite.

Didn't they try that once or twice? I recall they got a lot of political backlash. There a lot of people who don't want to go through what it would have taken to stop Obama or even get things done. I can imagine that if I ran for Congress and did what I needed to do I would be a one term congressman and some people would want me out before my term was up. Smile

Exactly right, Ted Cruz tried to filibuster and was hated for it but the establishment and ridiculed by Donald Trump
You beat me to it. I was just about to say the same thing.

I voted for Cruz.

But he has no skills persuading the Reps to do otherwise.

Is it that he has no skills or do the dogs return to their own vomit / { self serving agenda } ?
