Post What if you are a Church of God minister... roughridercog
and there is no church of the denomination around?

Not every man is cut out to plant a church. But what would be the harm in the man performing pastoral ministry in a church of another denomination or independent.

I remember that while attending Northwest Bible College, one of the instructors (Gerald Daffe) pastored a community church for years and did well at it.

But what if a man retires, moves to a place where there is no Church of God, and an opportunity arises for him to take a community church and pastor it.

What is the harm?

Let's ordain our men for ministry and then turn them lose to do it at every opportunity.
