Paul's Weakest Argument? |
Aaron Scott |
(Galatians 3:16 KJV) Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
While he proves his point elsewhere, this verse seems very weak. "Seed" is already plural when speaking of descendants, isn't it? |

I thought seeds was the plural - not seed. _________________ Whether you like it or not, learn to love it, because its the best thing going today! |

NBF... |

If I say, "I have a bag of seeds," that is plural.
But in, to my knowledge, every instance in the Bible where it speaks of descendants, it speaks of things like "your seed shall...." |

I've wondered about the same thing. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

A friend of mine is a lecturer in Hebrew at a university. He said 'Paul is arguing off an ambiguity.' Apparently, it could go either way. _________________ Link |
