Jimmy was a second generation COG pastor. His dad Doyle Herron pastored in NC, GA and TN. Jimmy pastored in NC, GA, LA and PA. There were 4 brothers in the Doyle and Julia Herron family. Three have passed away in the past couple months, one to the Coronavirus.
Jimmy's mother and my mother were sisters. He will be missed here, but is now reunited with his family that have passed.
Prayers for the Herron family would be appreciated, especially for Billy the eldest brother at 90 years of age and life long member of the COG.
Sad note also. You that have lost loved ones during this time, know the feelings of no hospital visits and the standard good bye funeral. Since we are so scattered, a custom of our families has been family reunions at funerals, we all will miss this. 
Jimmy was also an avid Acts reader and sometimes contributor under a pen-name.
