The pastor states that he saw mansions everwhere, "double-deckers" he called em. I'm struggling to find biblical support here, when the passage in the KJV what says "In my fathers house are many mansions," the word mansion here is literally "room." Most all modern translations render it "rooms." So this makes the ole timer wonder if the dear brother was dreamin.
DISCLAIMER: This post in no way demeans the dear brother's integrity or walk with God. He probly did see mansions while dreamin. |

Ron Stewart is my pastor. This is a powerful experience he had. He shared the story with me personally. I was still in the Chicago area when he had this surgery.
As to the mansion thing, true, the Word in Greek means "dwelling place". However, since we've not been there to see what a heavenly dwelling place looks like, why split hairs? This in no way contradicts the Greek. I have a hard time believing that heavenly dwelling places are just some basic 10' x 10' room.
