Announcing the "Church of God KJV"!

I have done a careful study--involving laborious Greek and Hebrew studies (but mainly not)--and have figured out a better KJV.

OK, you know the a-word that means "donkey"? That word is going to be ELIMINATED and replaced with...donkey. Why? Because WE are Church of God, and we don't put up with cursing--especially in church!

There may be other changes needed. So I await your advice. At some point, I will be glad to send you the far better KJV...which will be known as COGKJV...for a love offering of perhaps no more than $100.

Ideas?

I was doing devotions with the kids one night. I don't normally use KJV with them. But for whatever reason, I read this verse in KJV as part of the devotions.

I Peter 2:16
But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

The kids got really interested in quoting that one as a Bible memory verse, amidst a lot of giggling.

And here you go reading a bad word!

Don't forget, JESUS or the APOSTLE never used that a-word. They used "donkey." Pretty sure, anyway. It was the low-down ENGLISH that translated the word "donkey" as the a-word. Pretty sure they are all going to hell anyway.

You will probably have to work on Samuel a little, i.e.
1 Samuel 25:22: â€œSo and more also do God unto the enemies of David, if I leave of all that pertain to him by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall...... just saying... Embarassed

I guess you will have to work on that 'Sh-ttum' tree and wood, My daddy didn't appreciate the way I pronounced that. Embarassed
