It should be simple enough to see that God put women in leadership positions in the Bible, so obviously "usurping authority" can't mean merely being in a leadership position. Exactly! If you are commissioned by authority, man or woman, you are not "usurping authority" (Phoebe). If you're not, it really does not matter what title you "hold".

And if a denomination gives you authority to teach or preach, or if a pastor gives you authority to teach or preach, you are operating under that authority, so you are not usurping authority then, either. _________________ "More of Him...less of me."
