Post What If Ministry Reports Looked Like This? philunderwood
I understand that any organization of ministers need to see and know the effectiveness of their agents and people on the ground. What if our reports were less number oriented (not devoid of numbers) and more subject oriented?

Here is the outline of my monthly ministerial report that I am required to submit. I post it as an alternative to the norm.

What areas of coaching are you in need of to help you achieve your budgeted goals?

On our next team call/meeting let's talk about:

I covet your prayers for:

TEAM CONTRIBUTION TO CORPORATE IMPACT
How many pre-Christians did you intentionally pursue redemptive friendships with this month?

There always will be a toss up to decide if a report can easily be digitized. I cannot imagine this form for a report if there is a field of 10,000+ participants.

Since I no longer report to anyone I do not have any idea what is important for statistics the essay answers seem hard to manage.

No doubt they are good, I just see them as cumbersome. Also living under a rock for many years the terms are unfamiliar. Embarassed

Thank you, Cojak. Your point is spot on, but we live in a system that some say is impersonal and numbers driven. If we were back on the district format that was alive and healthy when I was growing up in the CofG it might be palatable to be more personally interested in what was going on with the working class. Alas, en masse, it is difficult to imagine, but I do wish there were a way to be plugged into personal growth, personal needs and spiritual life among the ministers community.

Aye, there should be at least one entry concerning personal growth or aside from numbers:
# saved____
#sanctified____
#filled with HG___
Added to the church___

It would have been nice to add something other than goose eggs to my report. Smile
