I have seen many friends of mine lamenting the death of the prophet.
While I had heard the name before - I am not familiar with this prophet's prophecies. _________________ Whether you like it or not, learn to love it, because its the best thing going today! |

Since disassociating myself from the 'prophetic movement' in the early 2000s, I have not followed him closely, but back in 1999 I attended a meeting in which he was featured. Quite a piano player, a decent singer too. I remember seeing him up close as he walked out at the end of the show. To me he did not look physically healthy back then, and he definitely looked older than his chronological age to me. He also seemed like he was a very high stress type of person. I have to say I was not surprised that he had a stroke last year. In any case, he is in the hands of God now. |

I did not know much of him, but... |

I have heard some take him to task for prophecies that apparently did not come to pass. And I have heard others speak of prophecies that did.
I will tell you that I caught him a time or two (on TV? the internet?) when he was singing "prophetically," as they say. I must tell you that although I was not necessarily a great fan of the type of music, it was not only good music, but he definitely seemed to have a touch on him.
I am reminded of Benny Hinn's services. I do not know that I could sit through a whole service of Benny's preaching or ministering, but I fully admit that the worship service is about as good as they get. It's just wonderful. You truly do feel the presence of God.
I don't know Kim Clement's heart, but I know that EVEN IF he was flawed in some way, well...we all are. And yet many of us still preach the gospel, depending upon Jesus to make the difference. And He does--without fail. A person's heart, I believe, can be in the right place, but one's thinking might not be (though it should be). Many good Baptists from the 1940s, who thought Pentecost was of the devil (I suppose), will no doubt be in heaven, because while their theology may have been wrong, they were saved. |

I went to a service in the Detroit area years ago where Kim Clement was ministering. I also recall him having word for 2 people at one of his services (CO I think?) who were associates of Dr. Lonnie Stewart. It was about his being shot in the head during Katrina disaster relief. I personally know Dr. Stewart, and remember when that happened.
Crazy thing was that Clement did not know Dr. Stewart. _________________ The World As I See It

I posted a few weeks ago about a prophetic message Kim gave an old friend one time.
My friend was from Bakersfield & he came up to Fresno to hear Kim in the crusade. We were among the thousands in attendance when he called Tim to the platform.
He gave him explicit instructions regarding a piece of property his church needed to sell but couldn't find any buyers.
The next day the buyer showed up & paid the church it's price for the land.
I witnessed the entire event from start to finish & was amazed that all of the detail was to the smallest degree & my friend had never met Clement before this encounter on the platform that evening in Fresno.

Condolences to the Clement family in the loss of Kim, and a prayer for God's peace.
That said, I find it somewhat disconcerting that classical Pentecostals would reference such persons as a prophet.
Even more disturbing is the notion that folk will run all over creation looking/searching/seeking a word.
May OTCP give you a prophetic word?
Psalm 34:4, I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears..
Psalm 34:17, The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
