Is Carson Done? |
diakoneo |
Of the two political outsiders, I liked Dr. Carson the best. Will this latest development regarding his fabrication regarding a "scholarship" to West Point, be Dr. Carson's Waterloo?
On a different note: The news media's hypocrisy regarding conservative candidates was certainly on parade in this deal. Love the way they play softball with the Clintons and Obama (regarding lying in this case) while skewering a black conservative...where is Rev. Al and Jessie J? They aren't gonna stand up for a black man...oh wait a minute their hypocrites too! |

Very disappointed |

Assuming what I read is true, I am very disappointed in Dr. Carson. Just this morning Fox and Friends was talking about the one who could be trusted the most and Carson was hands down the leader in this area.
Now it appears he has lied.
I feel much of his support is coming from the conservative Christian group. If so he is done.
I was in favor of a Huckabee/Carson ticket now I am going for a Huckabee/Rubio or Curz. _________________ Recorded Sermons @ www.pastorwiley.com

Thanks Dave. I was getting concerned about Carson.
It appears from this article that the one who lied is Politco. Wow! |

Well---no.
But it was amazing how the story got picked up by several news outlets. They thought they had an expose'. Now the stories are starting to shift to Carson's response. |

Trump jumping on the Carson bashing band wagon disappointed me. I think Carson will not only prevail, but will severely weaken what little credibility the media has left. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

The news media twists the truth badly enough. Some of these web pages are even worse. It doesn't look like there was a 'fabrication.' It is very feasible that when a general saw a top ROTC officer who was black he would have told him he could get him into Westpoint for a free ride through college. I don't think Carson said anything about applying or getting a formal scholarship offer. _________________ Link |

Strange I remember a guy who lied about a wreck on Martha's Vinyard and a lady died. He became the ICON of a party.
Does anyone remember, "If you like you doctor (program) you can keep it?"
And does anyone remember, "I did not have sex with that woman!"
And we are going to jump on someone else? We have a sick press! _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

If every person here or there were to be scrutinized as Carson or any other conservative candidate I have no doubt a lie will emerge somewhere. Dr Carson's character is still heads above any of the other candidates on either side. |

I wonder if he could pull off, "Would they have said that about me if I were a white man?" with such a wry smile that most American's know it's sort of tongue in cheek, but that it scares the liberals off.
But I don't see Carson's strong suit as delivering clever one-liners. He is kind of boring to listen to, IMO, just the way he talks. It doesn't sound like he has relevant experience. I don't get why he has such support. There are at least a couple of Baptists running. I don't know why evangelicals would back an SDA over a Baptist former governor or current senator. _________________ Link |

Apparent elect ability (so far). But I do like the one-liner idea. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Polls show Carson destroying Hillary. That is why this is happening. The only major candidate that Hillary leads in the polls is.............Trump. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

The thought crossed my mind that this could be an opportunity for Carson to show he is strong and won't be pushed around. How he handles this could be one major test and indication of his leadership ability. However, he needs to be careful that the media doesn't goad him into saying or doing something damaging to his run. Just some thoughts. |
