Way too early GA 18 predictions

Yesterday, my wife and I were talking about our plans for next summer. (Long story).

Anyway, she asked me if I was going to the Assembly in Orlando, because that could impact our plans. I probably will not attend, because I don't expect anything of substance on the GC agenda. I submit Nashville as exhibit A for my suspicion. We had time for communion, foot-washing (Great experience) daily special speakers, the agenda, resolutions, and items from the Motions Committee. The agenda was....shall we say....light.

I expect something similar in Orlando. Lots of special reports and presentations. Lots of special orders of the day. An emphasis on church planting. None of those things are bad...but I can listen to special speakers, download videos and read reports from home.

What say you? What do you think will be on the agenda in 2018?

Need to bring up the women/bishop issue again to stir up some excitement.
May get the SDP to reappear. Laughing

I say you're right... EC will have no changes, Youth will not change, WM will likely not change, and council of 18 will see very few changes. I suspect a lot of guys will stay home.

Being in Orlando, many will take advantage of a "work vacation." I am glad it is going back to Orlando.
