If you are taking it that way, then let me be more specific.
I do NOT believe that the Church of God is THE CHURCH. We are PART of THE CHURCH.
However, I DO believe that the Church of God is the restoration on earth of the apostolic/gifts of the Spirit/supernatural element that was clearly part of the early Church.
Those things, for the most part, were not part of typical church practice for centuries...until the Church of God, Azusa Street, and the such.
Again, to be clear, we are not THE CHURCH...but we are the restoration of an element of the church that was largely "lost" after the time of the apostles. |
