It does establish our common ground, indeed! |
Why would all others be regenerate? As in, born again? _________________ Link |

I can't find any examples in the Bibleof someone who danced against His will as the Spirit moved him to.
I can't find any examples in the Bible of someone who danced a specific dance the Spirit led him to dance. I can't say it doesn't happen. I just can't find any examples.
I can find some evidence in the Old Testament for choosing to dance. The fact that some of the Psalms tell the hearers to dance indicates that it was a choice to do so.
I went to a church for a couple of years when I lived down in Baton Rouge that was against rock music and had a negative view of dancing. I have heard of old time Pentecostals being against intentional, planned dancing in the worship service like the Charismatics did, and believed you had to 'dance in the Spirit' if you danced. I don't find anything in the Bible to back up the idea that you are only allowed to dance if it is against your will. The Psalms deal with situations where people can choose to dance, choose to shout, choose to praise the Lord. _________________ Link |

What is your point? I can't make sense of what you are attempting to say.
It seems that we are in agreement.
According to the old belief of shouting in the Spirit the worshiper has no control and no will. That is wrong. "The spirit of the Prophet is subject to the prophet" _________________ Sanctification is subsequent to the new birth |

I want to dance like David danced! |
David danced with "all his might." I think this means he danced until he couldn't dance anymore!
Only David knows for sure...and those who witnessed it. So until you get to ask David, just celebrate Jesus! If it makes you feel like swaying or tapping your toes or jumping around or full on dancing...enjoy Him! He enjoys you!
“The Lord your God is in your midst,
A victorious warrior.
He will exult over you with joy,
He will be quiet in His love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy." Zeph 3:17
...and try not to break anything or hurt anyone! _________________ I'm not saved because I'm good. I'm saved because He's good!
