Knowing what Ronnie went through and his struggles to rise above them, hearing him preach again is a beautiful thing to see.
Every time I heard him preach, he had excellent content. There have been few in my opinion, who had the annointing, the innate pacing of presentation and the decisive word emphasis Ronnie Brock did when preaching.
Most of all, he had a heart for God and even when he struggled, somehow he would rise up and keep on going. Great man in my opinion.
His very brief sermon there on Daystar about the "foolishness of preaching," should be heard by every preacher these days. Preaching matters as much today as it ever has.
Apostle Paul, who spoke about the "foolishness of preaching," lived during a time when preaching the Gospel was vastly more difficult than today. Society at that time, much the same as is true today, was not on the side of those who preached, but PREACH WE MUST regardless the trends of society. Why? Because it is the "power of God unto salvation."
