That didn't work at our church last time, but I was concerned it might. Only reg attendees were considerd.
When a pastor is retiring, he should (in my opinion) try to make the transition as smooth as possible even if his 'pick' doesn't get the job. Our last pastor failed at this and our church split, regardless of the vote. We may never get over it.

I am very concerned about the COG following this Pandmeic. Our clerk said we had our first shortfall last month. The reg. members are increasing giving, but the tide seems against us. It hurts. We have a good pastor. Embarassed Crying or Very sad
