To me, this embodies everything that is wrong in America today. No ownership, no accountability, and no responsibility.
Loan forgiveness for people that willingly and knowingly took on too much debt is a slap in the face to those who got their college degree by working and saving in order to pay for their education.

I’m sure my daughter, who will graduate next May with zero debt because she paid for her education by working five and six days a week and studying till 2 in the morning, would love to have her money returned to her.

FLRon, I agree with your comments above about how things are not fair for somebody like your daughter. Some people do run into hard circumstances while others are just not responsible.

I want to encourage you about the future blessings for your daughter. You and your wife did a great job raising her to work hard and be responsible. She will go far in life even though she had to work through this injustice.
