Post Independent pastor dies - widow wants church properties (L) Nature Boy Florida
Says she owns them.
Says church kicked her out after husband died. (FYI - brother and son have both been the pastor since)
I say it is probably good to have a denomination in this instance.
And I wonder how many knew that the properties were owned and / or controlled by the pastor?

This kind of story makes us look great to unbelievers. Seems like St Paul addresses this somewhere in one of his letters... Acts Enthusiast

Just another dagger in the heart of Christian believers. Another, "SEE, that is what religion is all about! MONEY!" It is a shame because sometimes, MONEY is what it is all about. Crying or Very sad

Post Independently Owned Churches Pastors Friend
Hello! I haven't posted in a long time, but here goes.

A preacher locally, took the money from his mothers death and built a beautiful church. He was to aged to pastor, so they hired an independent pastor, but things did not go well. They fired him and the church has since closed after several attempts for other pastors failed as well. The aged pastor died and his widow now owns the building. It is for sale and they are asking 500,000. Sometime during the operation of the "church", a message in tongues was given, an interpretation was given stating a woman in the church was to divorce her husband, and marry the aged preacher. She did! He died, and now she owns the building. This has never sit well in the community.
