News Reports from the Kabul, Afghanistan Airport have been heartbreaking. They literally clung to the outside of the airplanes; DESPERATE not to be LEFT BEHIND!
One is reminded of Genesis 7:6 when the door of the ARK OF SAFETY was SHUT. The opportunity of escape was no longer within their grasp.

There was a time when most worship services in our churches, included appeals to be ready when the Lord returns.
THE MOST AWFUL thing that could ever happen to anyone, was being LEFT BEHIND. The saints would rise..."Caught up together to meet him in the air." I Thessalonians 4:17
Several times as a boy, I dreamed that others were rising up around me to meet the Lord, but it was as if my feet were weighted to the ground. They rose but I was LEFT BEHIND. It was the most awful of feelings.
Today's news videos of chaos at the Kabul, Afghanistan Airport, remind me of what it must feel like to be left behind. Those LEFT BEHIND cried out and clung to the Ark, but it was too late. The opportunity of escape was no longer within their grasp.
