Nice lady. Started out in a make-shift studio built in a garage.

Around 60 years old when she started it.

That's amazing.

Certainly not a perfect woman. But when presented with many of the talking heads on TBN, GodTV, Daystar, and others, I will opt for the fruit of her hands (EWTN) instead on most days. Friendly Face

We hope Jesus don't we? I know the RC dogma is a big obstacle to them, but I know Catholics who's love for Jesus outshines many evangelicals'

We toured the St. Patrick's cathedral a few months ago and in the main sanctuary we saw a lot of things that made us think of the Lord and actually enjoyed it very much. It wasn't until we went around to the back side of the alter that you saw the "idolatry" which gave us the opposite feeling (they had their Mary chapel hidden in the back). Its sad some of their "devotion" to Mary really does equal idolatry, but I've met a lot of them that I don't think it does.

I have to say that I have enjoyed about 50% of what I've seen on EWTN which may be about twice as much as I have appreciated on TBN

Post Never heard of Mother Angelica, founder of EWTN, Cojak
Of course we live under a rock and have never had cable except in very few RV parks where it is furnished.

I took time to read the article and many comments. Most comments of praise, a few CRUDE anti-catholic statements.

From what I read I could appreciate this lady's dedication and ability to make something out of nothing. Most of us wish we had that ability. Evidently this person made a difference in many lives, I hope I have. It would be nice to think you made a difference as you lay on your death bed, soon to meet your maker. I want to see Jesus when I die, but I don't mind waiting in line behind THE MILLIONS who have MADE A DIFFERENCE. I could rejoice for them as I waited, if such a thing is necessary. Smile
