He's got to figure out where to put the saluting of heroes in the speech to make those democrats who refuse to clap to clap.

I noticed last year he got those new women senators to clap about themselves. They probably got coached to sit still this year, but they have to clap for the veterans.

Next year, maybe he can find a veteran who became a firefighter with no legs, who lost one as a solider and the other saving a baby out of a fire. It is an effective technique.

Rush Limbaugh announced his lung cancer, and my guess is the medal decision may have come after that announcement. Politically, that may be a way of playing to the base, but I don't see how that will get him more votes. Of course, he may not have done it for that reason. Since he's got cancer, it probably won't hurt him. Democrats would have to sound too mean to speak up against it now, but we will see.

It was great, not Reagan, but great. I think we forget how great a speaker Reagan was. But Trump is surprisingly good. He definitely knows how to grab the ratings! How he got Pee-losty to prove that she is indeed a "third grade politician", is amazing! Its like he waved a magic wand again and she became just what he said she was!!
