The Frequency (or Infrequency) of Miracles Today |
Da Sheik |
I made a comment in Link's thread about head-pushing charlatans that I thought might be best discussed in its own place.
The book of Acts was written over a period of 30 years. However, we can easily read the book of Acts in one sitting. It's easy to come away with the idea that miracles happened every day in the early church. It might also prompt us to lament the absence of said miracles in the modern era.
I'm not arguing for less miracles or denying their existence today. I'm just offering some perspective. Allow me to offer one more perspective for those that long for the days of Acts and the early church. Are you ready for people to start dropping dead like Ananias and Saphira when they lie on their tithing envelopes? |
