If the Spirit is making intercession for us, then would He EVER not get what He has interceded for?
If He always receives what was interceded for, what would that imply? |

Are you crazy or just trying to start a fight? It has been pretty dull here recently.
Maybe you need a refresher course in theology.
Reread these scriptures
Rom. 8 26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: note
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
So to sum up, the Spirit Himself prays for us acvording to Gods will. And we can Have confidence that if we pray anything according to His will He hears us znd if He hears us He will do it for us. And God does Get His woll Done. Now people Have free will And There is evil kn tbe world so stuff happens but if God says His will, will be dkne hou can believe His will, will be done. Period. |

The implication of those verses explode in the verse that follows...
THINGS...
God causes all THINGS to work together...
(He doesn't say "things" won't happen...)
Note how many times the term "things" is used after that - directly and by implication.
"Things" happen...but God causes them to work for my good and His purpose...and until the "groaning" of this age is over...NO-THING (nothing) can separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus!! |

It is not God's will that ANY should perish, but instead that all should be brought to repentance, and yet we know from other scriptures that some and perhaps most will in fact perish, and will not be brought to repentance, despite God's will to the contrary.
Only a Calvinist can consistently claim that God's will is always done, that God always gets exactly what He wants. |

It would imply that what you want and what He interceded for were two different things.

It would imply that what you want and what He interceded for were two different things. |
I agree. Of course, I could have had that outcome by not doing anything at all. Which is a bummer...and which is probably what we call "just have faith." |

Do you believe this...that prayer means nothing if you don't get what you want?
Did you pray , "nevertheless, thy will, not mine be done"? Or do you leave that part out of your prayer?
