Post Calvinism, Wesleyism, and all other ism's Ernie Long
Many times a question is asked or a opinion is given and it is attribute to Calvin or the Wesley's or some other dead guy's way of thinking, believing, or teachings.

I wonder (and I know someone will tell) How did Christians believe before all these guys were born and came on the Christian scene?

Was it split between John the Baptist and Jesus?

Post The First Denominations Started in the NT FG Minister
The cause of the first denominations was centered around the dispute on how one is to heal the blind. Jesus did it three ways and therefore three distinct groups were formed around the theology of healing. The three churches were the TOUCHITES, the MUDITES, and the SPITITES. Acts-celerater

Post The First Denominations Started in the NT FG Minister
The early church debated the theology of healing as they looked at how Jesus healed the blind. Once he touched the person, another time he rubbed spit in the guys eyes, and another time He spit on the dirt and made mud for the man's eyes. Three churches sprang up over this hotly contested theology of healing; the Touchites, the Spitites, and the Mudites. They wouldn't even have communion together.

Eventually, the Spitites, sensing little need for large amounts of liquid, started baptizing infants by sprinkling. The Mudites saw the need for a lot of water so they clung to the belief in immersion. The Touchites said they could go either way. Big stuff in those days. Read up!

Post Nature Boy Florida
I thought the first followers of men's ideas about Christ were those of Paul, Apollos, etc...
