Post Crystal River Church of God has a big problem! Cojak
We looked at The CRCOG website, and it looked good. WE drove by the facility to make sure we could find it on Saturday. The first problem was a traffic jam in the parking lot. http://www.crystalrivercog.com/

WE were 10 mins early and did find seats. A very friendly 'OLD' lady's purse sat beside me. About time for the church to start, the ushers could not find seats for every one (My guess is the church seats 400-550.) The ushers were friendly and sorta hinted that the purse wasn't going to worship, but the sweet lady (That is not sarcastic, she was sweet and very friendly) would not move the purse. I figured she was saving the seat, but the purse and phone stayed there. Smile .

What an enthusiastic music director, WOW. This was an involved church. Multi curtural, an even age span from from a 2 year old that shouted (sweetly) in the aisle to the 90 year old man down from me. I was amazed at the average, it seemed to be in the 40's.

I was a little surprised when the music man continued on into the communion and supplied me spiritually with the most amazing communion service I have ever attended. It was a joyous rendering, an enthusiastic delivery. The Music director disappeared and an OLD man received the offering. Then the Music Director appeared in the Baptistery, and Baptized folks. (Also very impressive of how it was done).

The Music director showed up in his wet clothes and preached a short sermon.
On the way home my wife 'splained THAT WAS THE PASTOR (My hearing doesn't do well when music is in the back ground.

The service was long, but VERY FEW left. That was the second service, they have a BIG problem finding seats for every one.

This is one of the churches we have visited that both the wife and I said as we left, if we lived around here, this is where we would attend.

NOte: JOhn, sorry I did not get to greet the pastor and give him your message, but did in an e-mail! Smile

My wife just reminded me that the only time we visited Central Church in Charlotte, Loran did the opening, led the choir, took the offering, did 12 baby dedications and preached a great sermon.

I was sure he took the whole service to keep it moving along because of all the baby dedications.

That was AFTER the church moved from Central Ave to it's present location also.
