Sounds like a very good idea to me. Here in New Mexico where I pastor, it is an open carry state, so anybody can open carry anywhere, unless a “Come Shoot Us†(aka Gun-Free Zone) sign is posted.
Concealed carry license holders are the safest class of people in the nation. |

I once (only once) attended a local church with a large "gun free zone" sign at the door. I couldn't concentrate for 30 seconds knowing that I had just sat down in a target-rich zone where any nut could rack up numbers that would make him famous. No way I would EVER go back there. My great-great uncle was a Church of God pastor in Texas who famously kept a double-barreled shotgun at the pulpit to defend his flock so I have never felt scared of the good guys being armed. |

I am a resident of Florida about 6-7 months a year and thought anyone with a permit could carry in church unless it was other wise noted such as JD's COMMENT. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

I can state with 100% certainty that our church has had many parishioners carrying every service for many years. And yes, I fully support this. I pity the individual that would ever try to harm someone in our church because it would turn very bad for them very quickly. _________________ “Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized.
