Post What's Trending Where You Are? Worship Centers, Parsley Parts, Stools/Tables, "E"tc... Old Time Country Preacher
Ever noticed how certain stuff seems to catch on (we call it today..."TRENDING") an take holt?

Cases in pointe:

(1) Back in the early 80's Jimmy Swaggart named his church "Family Worship Center." Sooooonnnnnnnnn, for I knowed it, they was a "********* ************ Worship Center" springin up on ever corner. Numbers a COG churches changed their name to ********* ************ Worship Center." So many wanted to git on at "Worship Center" band wagon cause it was perceived as cool, innovative, "the lastest thing," etc.

(2) Back in the 90's, Rod Parsley quit combin his hair back, an got a haircut where his hair was combed forward, an he had this little "flip/spike" thingy goin on at the front of his hair (gelled/sprayed/etc., I don't know what made it stand up). It went viral amongst Pennycostal preachers. Next Assembly, I couldn't count the number a fellers what had em one a them Parsley Parts. Even here in Kentucky, even some a the older fellers was sportin one a them "Charismatic Cuts."

(3) An what about them little tables with a bottle a water on it, an a stool. At was seen as "radical" when if first commenced, but now, at thing has gone viral, an a lot a fellers think they can't even preach lessen they got low lights, spotlight on stage where nothin is seen durin the "sermon" cept a stool, little tiny table, an some Perrier water in the green bottle settin on it.

(4) An what about at "Infamous E" everbody is talkin bout? I mean, its like if you aint got some kinda word in ya ministry title with a "E" at the end of it(a "E" what aint normally there), hey, ya just aint nothin but Olde Schoole.

(5) An what about em preachers prancin round in skinny jeans. At seems to be trendin a bunch a places.

Dont forget about the mega wattage amplifiers and speakers capable of crushing titanium 100 yards away running at 98.9 %. Hype cannot be created efficiently without them. Hon. Dr. in Acts-celeratology

That "Daniel Fast" is trending where we are.
And an emphasis on men's fellowship.

Where we are, we are trying to be us.

Being us is tough enough, we can't be like no one else. Don't have the time and don't want to be.

Maybe it is like trending to the business of God. That is what we are ALL about, isn't it? Cool
