The good news about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez... |

I've seen the type; I've been the type (might still be). They show up and spend all their goodwill in a fit of having something to say about everything, being so much of a "true believer" that they hold to ideology no matter who it hurts, etc.
She thinks she won a victory by "taking on" Amazon, etc. I think she did great damage to herself. Amazon could have been a significant contributor to her reelection. The people who won't be getting a job at Amazon aren't as likely to vote for her. The person who runs against her is going to drag her through the mud by her hair (politically speaking).
Some folks would rather the world burn down than to ease up on their ideological convictions. |

NY is due for a redistricting in 2 years that will result in the removal of two seats. I would not be at all surprised to see the establishment Dems make hers one of those seats, especially since she is trying to primary long-serving NY Dems like Nadler, Engel, etc.
Not sure I agree about the Amazon thing costing her electorally, though. HQ2 was going to go into Carolyn Maloney's district. The voters in AOC's district probably love her position on HQ2.

yeah, but now she has $3Billion dollars extra to spend since Amazon won't be there! You can't convince her that she hasn't won (and therefore the ignorant minions on the left will believe that they are all better off now). If bad ideas and mass poverty were a deterrent to electing socialists, she would have never been elected in the first place
Furthermore, IF she does lose her reelection bid, the new Democratic party will simply elevate her to a much bigger election bid. That is their MO now, "if at first you don't succeed, run for President" |

You know it's bad when Bill de Blasio is saying it was a misstep. How anti-business/anti-growth do you have to be for Bill de Blasio to say "hey guys I think we might have gone too far here..." |
