Yep, it is called Politics as usual. Politicians are a fickle. They talk about Trump's actions while they pander themselves.
They, and we the voter, find a way to justify our stands. Some just have a larger audience.
I will be VERY surprised if Mitt's speech changes the course of the nomination process. IF Trumps stock goes up, they the establishment, will surely realize that they need a smarter approach than the usual meal served up by a politician, which is the normal message, "WE KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU DUMB VOTERS YOU ARE BEING CONNED". (the underlying message is: "we never con or tell you what to do, listen to us, you have a brain, you KNOW WE are RIGHT!) 
Yep those recorded messages of support or against people or stands seem to come back to haunt them all. (Yeah he was a good guy, but now he stinks)

nearly everything he said was true, but the wrong messenger. He gave us Obama, he has no platform to speak.
If somehow George HW would have made that speech, I think it might have worked. |
