| I see too many preachers depending on the swamp (COG) for any changes to be made in near future. If the swamp begins to produce gators that bite them on the behind they will get mad quickly and that swamp will be drained! |

you could leave the COG and join the AG. No TOT, just pay your tithes and a SUGGESTED amount of Fellowship Offering to the District and General Offices annually. ($30 month to General Council for Ordained pastors, local church suggested to pay 1% of General Fund to District (state) and a church of 250 would pay about $250 per yr to the General Council annually). For that you have access to all the resources of the Assemblies of God but essentially you're on your own. Church planters are helped for a season but the rest of us have to find our own places of ministry, few are appointed except to very small churches. But there is no TOT.  |
