We just returned from the this years production, JESUS. It was good but every play here has 'THAT POINT' for me. Noah's ark was when the animals and Noahs family entered the ark and the lights dimmed. When they lit back up, YOU WERE INSIDE THE ARK. Jonah 'time' was when they threw him over board, it was so real! Now this one, there were some GREAT highlights, but 'THAT POINT' was the walking on the water, fantastic depiction and so REAL.
I actually teared up a couple times as the story unfolded. It stuck very close to the scripture.
They also give an alter call at the end, and that never ceases to impress me.
Maybe one reason these plays make an impression is that since I miss a lot on the hearing side, knowing the scriptural accounts makes it easier to follow along.
I am a country boy, the only plays/productions I have ever seen are High School, church and outdoor plays or dramas. This place sits about 2000 and the wrap around stage is the size of a football field. I like it, partly because my wife loves it. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!
