Post Turned in a copy of my dissertation Link
and I'm about to turn in. It's 9:19 AM and I've pulled an all nighter for the third time in the past two weeks or so, trying to get the dissertation done before the deadline this semester. I'm supposed to give the committee 2 weeks to read it, and if the whole committee agrees to a date, I'll only have until the 18th to turn in revisions to make the deadline to complete my PhD this semester. I may have a job opportunity if I do. Nothing guaranteed.

I'd like to thank God for getting this far and for providing for me and my family.

And I'd like to request prayer that everything goes smoothly and the committee agrees to meet on such short notice. One of my committee members moved to the mainland since I proposed my topic. Please pray I'll recover soon from my lack of sleep because I have a lot of work to do.

Yours in Christ,

I forgot to mention that this is my second docorate, after that doctorate of Actsceleratology I got on this forum for posting so many times.

I found two emails in my mailbox this morning from committee members who were down with me presenting this semester.

One of my deepest regrets is not progressing for my PhD. In my area, I would have had to go full time and I just couldn't afford to quit my job and didn't feel I had my spouse's support to try both.

I ABSOLUTELY commend you for your efforts. I also APPLAUD your wife for allowing it to happen.

You have worked hard and I admire what you have accomplished! Good job sir.

Business administration. My dissertation applies an international business theory to venture capital internationalization.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm not out of the woods yet. I have the defense on the 10th, and then I have to get my revisions in by the 18th to finish all the requirements for this semester. Please pray folks.

My wife sure has endured a lot. It has taken me a long time to put the dissertation together. My wife and I have been selling food. She's the talent, and I help with the heavy lifting. We did food tents at events. I'll be glad to get out of that line of work.

I wouldn't have done this if I didn't think it was the Lord's direction, not with me being married with children. For a single person with a graduate assistantship who can pull it off in four years, it may not be so bad.

I need to get back to putting my slides for my defense together.

I am sure you will do well. You have a lot of people praying for you.

My Prayer:
May God bless my brother as he endeavors to "study to shew himself approved" with his dissertation. May he find peace in the midst of the storm during these final hectic weeks. May You bring things to his rememberence as he defends his dissertation. May he realize You will never leave nor forsake him and will be there with him as he is in the dissertation defense". May he be able to restore his physical body each night with restful sleep to give him energy in this last sprint to the finish line. May he be able to use his credentials to further his work for your Kingdom and may others be blessed by his knowledge that you have imparted to him through his studies. "
