The Father's "witness" to nations who go their own ways:
“In the generations gone by He permitted all the nations to go their own ways; and yet He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness." Acts 14:16-17
He did good and gave, satisfying their hearts with gladness. Maybe we need to reconsider Him.
This Good News was well-received.
“Even saying these things, with difficulty they restrained the crowds from offering sacrifice to them." Acts 14:18
When was the last time our message was so GOOD that the lost (not the mean religious crowd) wanted to worship us for saying it?
We're so screwed up we think it's ear-tickling if lost people LIKE what we're saying.
“But Jews came from Antioch and Iconium, and having won over the crowds, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead.” Acts 14:19
See, religion hates Good News and throws rocks at it.
What do you suppose religion said to win over the crowds? _________________ I'm not saved because I'm good. I'm saved because He's good!
