In his book The Midas Touch, K Hagin argued for balance and sound teaching regarding money and wealth. In the same book, he said that Jesus was not poor, because he walked in prosperity according to the Abrahamic covenant. |
I simply said, I agree that I haven't heard any preacher recant or apologize. I don't know what that has to do with Hagee, I didn't see an apology.... _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

I know absolutely nothing about Benny Hinn except what I have read, referenced or shown here on ACTS. I do not follow ANY TV preachers and i know a couple personally . The ones I know are Charlltons(?). So I am gong only on the statements I read in the beginning and what I have seen here in the past.
As I said, I read the words of man who admitted he had gone too far in one direction. NO he did not specify. BUT it was something I haven't heard or read in the news of any other TV preacher saying.
I did appreciate Jim Bakker saying I WAS WRONG. What I read that Hinn said was, "I was wrong."
I would shout Hallelujah if I would hear my TV friends say that.
Maybe he was wrong in the past. Maybe he still is. BUT I do not personally know more than I have read. Nothing wrong with a START! _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

I used to watch Benny hinn when I 1st started learning. He just did a show not long ago with 2 rabbis for the very 1st time of his show. It's on YouTube called a shocking interview with rabbi Itzak Shapira & Jonathan Bernis it's an amazing video, I think you guys will like it.

Okay. Well, absent that detail, I'm going to go with the witness of the guy who proclaims the simple, straightforward, orthodox gospel of Christ and Him crucified over the guy who has spent his career preaching health and wealth heterodoxy and worse. |
Well there you go Dave, you have your own proof & you're good with it.
You still refused to answer my question ...no shock there.
I want you to tell me that you know for a fact what sin he has committed & that it requires he repent from and/or is he teaching a anti-Christ doctrine.
As a matter of point, I didn't say I was throwing out the nephew's story but I spent some time with all the family & I saw a different set of characters as you, apparently have not.
And yes Carolyn he did go through a rough time with his wife at one point & I personally witnessed him reaching out to her & watched as he tried to engage her & involve her in various ways.
Even his own kids tried to get their mom involved & during the divorce they spent the majority of their time with their dad. _________________ "Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!"

| In this thread I have mentioned the need for clear repentance from what he has taught, and not a specific sin. If you do not believe his teaching is in serious error and that he needs to repent over and change what he teaches, we are not going to see eye to eye on this. Given your affirmation of Bill Johnson, it's not a surprise to me either. |

And of course you probably have some sort of solid proof that Pastor Johnson needs to repent also ...right???

| Benny Hinn lost credibility with me long time ago. He's been in town a few times since I've lived here. No desire to go. |

It is very hard to regain 'credibility'. Even a 'tear rending' apology still leaves many waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Many years ago, in the early or mid 1990's, I think, Benny Hinn said he was at a crusade in the Philippines and he couldn't preach the WOF giving the way he'd done before, asking them to give and get blessed back financially, or whatever it was. Anyway, he seemed to be changing his stance then, but did he really change the way he preached? _________________ Link |
