I was wondering the same. Closing 75 miles of I-95 ain't no little item. The pictures are bad. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Just Got This Email from State Office |
mytwocents |
Greetings!
Flooding:
I wanted to contact you regarding the devastation that has affected our state due to the recent heavy rain and flooding. It is my understanding that the Charleston, Columbia, Kingstree, Myrtle Beach and Sumter areas were hit very hard with flooding. As of this writing, I am aware of the following churches who have suffered severe water damage:
Andrews (Pastor Edward Hardee)
Coward (Pastor Kevin Byrd)
Lake City (Interim Pastor Russell Miles).
These churches have minimal water damage:
Charleston, North - New Covenant (Pastor Marc Campbell)
Columbia, Elmwood Avenue (Pastor Byron Powers)
West Columbia, City of Hope (Pastor Neal Nolan).
Our International Offices, through Operation Compassion, is sending eight trucks with water and needed supplies to our state to assist our churches and congregations. We are still in the process of assessing damages and determining the most important items needed by our churches and congregations. There are several ways you can assist:
Financial Contribution - Feel free to send your financial contribution to our State Office. Mark your check "2015 SC Midlands Flood" and mail it to: SC Church of God State Office, Attention: 2015 SC Midlands Flood, PO Box 309, Mauldin, SC 29662.
Coordinate a relief effort by donating water and needed cleaning supplies for our churches and congregations. NOTE: Rob Bailey, our State Youth and Discipleship Director is serving as the Coordinator for any church that desires to organize a relief effort. Feel free to contact Rob Bailey at 864.963.4751 x3. (You may also contact my Office at 864.963.4751 x2).
Pee Dee Camp Meeting:
We have received calls regarding our Pee Dee Camp Meeting. The opening service began last night with our Guest Speaker Barry Clardy. Services will continue tonight through Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Please exercise extreme caution and safety when traveling. It is highly recommended that you first check with the Department of Transportation or the State Highway Patrol regarding road conditions. |

In my opinion, Operation Compassion (especially when combined with Men of Action) is one of the best things the Church of God has to offer. They were a major blessing to the Bayou and Mobile, Alabama during Hurricane Katrina back in 2005.

By the way: Rob is a former U.S. Marine. If he has been put in charge of the relief effort, it will be done right! _________________ Beautiful weather we're having |
