Saturday is the only day I don't have to be somewhere so don't count on me for anything. No weddings, funerals, meetings, picnics, etc. on Saturday for me. |

How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

What time do you go to bed on Sunday night, and what time do you get up on Monday morning?
The Bible also says, "He gives his beloved sleep'.
Do you ever use a passive aggressive condemnation tactic on people you minister to do get them to do what you want? _________________ Link |

Sabbath means seventh, so if what our culture calls 'Sunday' is the seventh day of the week, would you call the first day of the week, the day that the women took spices to the tomb and found it empty 'Monday'? Why don't you have church on Monday morning? _________________ Link |

I think most Saturday meetings and workdays are scheduled with the needs of the majority in mind. Most men don't want to be at church on a Saturday afternoon.
This is just how we do it- if it's simply a fellowship/prayer meeting, we will do it on Sunday morning prior to the early service. Breakfast is prepared and we finish in a timely manner. If it's a designated "workday" then we typically do it on a Saturday. We usually do have some kind of breakfast available, but we allow for a window of time for people to come work when they want to (like from 8am-12pm). So if someone wants to sleep in and come in to work for an hour at 11am, we're just thankful that they volunteered some of their time. |

I do like logic and common sense. It is SWEET when pastors and/or boards use those two tools. God plan! _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!
