 The Real Reason Health Care Cost are Crazy |

When Doctors charge $500 to look at an xray
to determine if an arm is broken. Less than
60 seconds is what it took the Doc.
When Hospitals Charge $10,000 for a 5 minute
ultra sound of the neck.
When Hospitals Charge $300 for 3 pills that
cost 0.22 each. Or $1200 for a muscle relaxer shot.
Just to mention a few instances.
This is the real reason that Health Insurance cost so much.
The Government is targeting the wrong profession if they
want to make health care more affordable. |

They get away with it as long as the insurance companies are paying it. Insurance companies increase the rates, the consumers complain about insurance, not healthcare. When the insurance rates increase, the customers do their best to rip them off in any way possible, usually by having "procedures", tests, or anything else the doctor willing does just to make more money on their end.
I had a "high deductible" plan for years and I received an employer match on a HSA. The match was because it was a "cheap" plan. What it did was make me very careful with what I actually did instead of ignoring things like you mentioned. In the long run, I saved a LOT of money for myself, my company, and the insurance company. |

This post is spot on. It also shows Joe Blow who pays as he goes and pays the bill for $300 for 3 pills. THEN when Medicare gets a bill like that it pays $100 and the hospital/Dr accepts that as full payment. That HINTS loudly to me it was exorbitant at the git-go., and the gov't still paid too much.
You are right about affordable health care.
