 Gender Reveal Party (hypothetically) |

So the cool thing with the kids these days is to have a party to reveal the gender of their baby. I thought about having a sort of gender reveal party on acts but I spent so much time in ban-land last time I can't afford to risk going back.
Here is a HYPOTHETICAL situation, tell me if I would/should do this.
What if hypothetically I got an inbox message on acts from another user who has a monthly name? What if it was a summer monthly name with a 3.0 behind it? And what if in this message, the user gave me their phone number and said "i will reveal myself to you if you reveal yourself to me" and wanted to talk? And what if instead of calling the person, I had a "Gender Reveal" party and posted their phone number on the Acts board so anyone could call and talk? So what kind of trouble would I get in for that?
By the way, I love Actscelerate and everyone involved. IF someone is lonely enough to send me their phone number because they need to talk, then they should welcome talking to everyone don't ya think? |

You're Hillarious it is a burner number I could hypothetically shut it off tomorrow. Or I could forward it to a funny persons cell number on the Council of 18. Maybe I could hypothetically post a good interesting story and take a phone poll on what should be done through my voicemail

Man, I thought this thread was going to be for adults - where people get together at a party and one or several decide to change genders.
And then decide what bathroom they should use - unless you are in NC.

You made an offer with a burner number in hopes to find out aprilmay's identity? That is hilarious. I'm glad aprilmay has enough forum smarts to handle a situation like that.
Hey, aprilmay, I read an article about a couple that had a gender reveal party and opened up the box of balloons only to find out some clerk with a twisted sense of humor (or a lot of ineptitude--I'm not sure which) had stuffed the box with balloons in all colors of the rainbow.
I really don't get the "gender reveal" stuff. I guess I'm just not on the cutting edge of the social trends.
To the main question, though, no, don't reveal a phone number; I'm against any sort of doxing.
But I think sometimes speaking in hypotheticals accomplishes the desired result without violating the Acts terms of use. (Just don't come on here with an acrostic spelling out the perp's name.  ) |
