I received a note of thanks from Doyle's wife, Linda Daugherty, that she asked me to pass along:

Thanks to Carolyn for organizing the delivery of flowers and for thoughtfully communicating all of the information that was necessary in order for us to financially support our friend Doyle's family during such a difficult time. And thanks to each of you who made a difference in this family's life during such a difficult time. I know Doyle would be touched that you thought so much of him that you would reach out to his family in this way.
